Miss Alabama on Donald Trump: Republicans Should Be ‘Absolutely Terrified’

Donald Trump may have strong ties to the Miss Universe pageants, but that doesn’t mean that current or potential contestants have to like him.

Miss Alabama Meg McGuffin, fourth place in Miss America 2016, called Trump an “entertainer” and suggested that Americans should be “terrified” by the prospect that he could become the president.

Alabama.com reports:

McGuffin, Miss Alabama 2015 had a few choice words about Donald Trump as she competed for the 2016 Miss America Competition crown.

Miss America judge Taya Kyle, widow of US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, asked McGuffin the following on stage question: “According to a poll released this week, Donald Trump is leading Republican candidates by 32 percent of the vote. Why do you think he is leading by such an overwhelming margin?”

Miss Alabama’s answer: “I think Donald Trump is an entertainer and I think he says what’s on a lot of peoples’ minds, but I think the Republican party should be absolutely terrified of all the attention that he is taking from incredible candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie who could absolutely do the job of President of the United States.

“If I were Republican I would be absolutely terrified of that. Thank you.” McGuffin said.

Social media lighted up the moment those words came out of McGuffin’s mouth. Twitter, in particular, had plenty of response.

“Miss Alabama is seriously my new favorite person,” tweeted user AbigaillShedd.
