WATCH: Tide to Go Commercial Mocks Anti-LGBT Bigots Like Kim Davis — and It’s Hilarious
A hilarious new advertisement by Tide is poking fun at the whole Kim Davis debacle.
“First a clerk in Kentucky, and now a church lady in Los Angeles!” director Mark Nickelsburg posted on his Facebook page. “This same sex-couple faces yet another obstacle on the way to marriage equality in this spot I directed for Tide to Go.”
In the commercial, two men are approaching a church to get married. As they are about to enter, they are stopped by a woman.
“I wont let you blemish the sanctity of marriage,” she says.
The two men immediately go on the defensive, assuming that she is bashing them for being homosexual. Suddenly, the women draws a Tide-To-Go and fixes a stain on one of the groom’s dress shirt.
“There — flawless,” she says.
This isn’t the first time that Tide, which is owned by Proctor & Gamble, has portrayed a gay couple positively in one of their ads.
