Trump Takes Quarter of Debate Twitter Buzz
The latest information from Twitter has revealed that Donald Trump stole the show and managed to generate one quarter of all Twitter traffic during Tuesday night’s debate.
Trump’s brash style earned him 24 percent of all Twitter traffic, while Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, and Ted Cruz netted 12 percent each. Further down the list, Marco Rubio earned 11 percent, while John Kasich and Rand Paul had 10 and Fiorina 9 percent.
The Hill reports:
The evenly split percentage of tweets circulated for the seven candidates aside from Trump, who stood center stage based on his standing in polls, came amid rather even speaking time.
The Republican National Committee and several candidates praised Fox Business moderators for their handling of the debate on economic issues, which followed a fractious CNBC debate Oct. 28.
Several candidates led in online enthusiasm in the latest debate, with Carson, Rubio and Trump gaining the most Twitter followers during the two-hour prime-time event, according to Twitter.
