Poll: Americans Say Trump Most Likely to Ruin Thanksgiving
These days, there is a poll for everything. The latest poll by Public Policy Polling has found that Donald Trump is the most likely candidate to say something inappropriate during a Thanksgiving meal.
46 percent of Americans think Trump would kill the festive mood during Thanksgiving. In contrast, only 22 percent of Americans said the same thing about Hillary Clinton.
The Hill reports:
Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and GOP candidates Ben Carson, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) all polled in the single digits. Rubio was the lowest-ranking, with just 1 percent thinking he would say something inappropriate.
Meanwhile, Clinton is the candidate a plurality of the surveyed Americans say they would most like to have over for Thanksgiving. Nearly a quarter of voters, 24 percent, would want her at the table, while 18 percent would pick Carson, 17 percent would pick Trump and 11 percent would pick Sanders.
The survey of 1,360 registered voters was conducted Nov. 16-17 via landlines and the Internet with a margin of error of 2.7 percentage points. Read the full poll results here.
