Three Officers Shot near Planned Parenthood in Colorado
Three police officers have been shot near a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday.
Police were called to the scene after someone reported an armed individual shooting people at a Planned Parenthood. The officers responded to the call and were injured in a standoff with the shooter.
According to police spokeswoman Lt. Catherine Buckley, it is unknown at this time how many civilians were injured.
“We’re still trying to confirm where the shooter is at this point,” Buckley said.
“We do not know whether he is contained or not at this point; we cannot verify,” she added.
“Right now we don’t know if there are any hostages,” police Sgt. Kevin Miyakusu told CNN. “It is an ongoing situation.”

A grocery story nearby reportedly corralled all shoppers and employees at the back of the store and locked its doors as the situation unfolded.
Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol were seen at the scene with guns drawn at the Centennial Blvd. Planned Parenthood. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was also on the scene.
