Sanders Banking on Growing Name Identification
Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to push forward in the polls, making a name for himself, and reminding Americans that the Democratic race is a two person one.
Sunday’s debate was a memorable one for Sanders, who had many hilarious facial expressions and reactions to Hillary Clinton’s dishonest comments.
“What we’ve seen throughout this race is the more voters get to know Bernie Sanders, the more they come to him,” Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota on “New Day” Tuesday.
“As we’ve been out here in Iowa, as we’ve talked to voters, as the senator’s gotten around, as he’s put his message on paid television, voters here in Iowa have moved to him,” Weaver said.
Sanders made the same argument Monday, during a swing through the South, where he is hoping to cut into Hillary Clinton’s support among African American voters there.
Sanders is in Iowa for a series of stops throughout the day Tuesday.
