Trump: Christians Must ‘Stick Together’
Donald Trump made a passionate call to Christians on Tuesday when he called for them to “stick together.”
He started, saying that Christianity is “under siege,” and pointed to Syria as an example.
“We have to do something, we have to ban together, we have to become stronger as Christians because it is very bad what is happening with respect to Christianity,” Trump said in “The Brody File” interview on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
“We’re not banded together properly. We have to stick together,” Trump added.
The Hill reports:
Trump had a major Martin Luther King, Jr. Day speech on Monday at Liberty University, where he touted his Presbyterian faith.
The celebrity real estate tycoon is battling Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) ahead of the first-in-the-nation caucuses Feb. 1 in Iowa, where evangelical voters are a major voting block.
Cruz last week spared with Trump over his “New York values,” which Cruz argued in the latest GOP debate include supporting same-sex marriage and abortion.
