Rubio Slams Obama’s Mosque Visit: He’s Pitting People Against Each Other

Marco Rubio blasted President Obama on Wednesday for his decision to visit a mosque.

“Look at today. He gave a speech at a mosque, basically implying that America is discriminating against Muslims,” Rubio said during a town hall meeting in Dover, N.H.

“Of course there’s discrimination in America, of every kind. But the bigger issue is radical Islam. This constant pitting people against each other, I can’t stand that,” he added. “It’s hurting our country badly.”

The Hill reports:

Obama made his first visit to a U.S. mosque as president Wednesday, where he gave a speech slamming Republicans for using anti-Muslim rhetoric.

“That’s not who we are,” the president said. “We are one American family and when any part of our family starts to feel separate or second-class or targeted, it tears at the fabric of our nation.”
