Clinton Raises $30M in February
Hillary Clinton managed to raise an impressive $30 million in February, falling $10 million short of Bernie Sander’s monthly total.
“We continue to beat every fundraising goal and, more importantly, make smart and efficient investments,” campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement. “Grassroots support is truly powering this campaign as the majority of our fundraising came from online donations.”
The Hill reports:
Clinton announced the total after she won seven of the 11 states on Super Tuesday, increasing her delegate lead over Sanders.
The Sanders campaign advertised the quest for $40 million in the last days of the month, setting up a page to show the donations pouring in from largely online sources. More than $5.5 million of that came in the final day of the month.
A Sanders campaign spokesperson did not return a request for the campaign’s cash on hand after its February haul.
