Alan Cumming Backs Sanders

Actor on The Good Wife and the man who played Nightcrawler in X2: X-Men United Alan Cumming is the most recent celebrity to say he’s “Feeling the Bern.”

The openly-gay Cumming was born in Scotland, but he became a naturalized American Citizen in 2008.

The Hill reports:

In the short video clip posted to his more than 250,000 Twitter followers, Cumming, who starred in Broadway’s “Cabaret,” voiced his support for the Democratic presidential candidate and Vermont senator.

“I’m really inspired by the message of Bernie Sanders,” Cumming, 51, said. “I think the fact that he believes that America can be a fair and just country where everyone can have access to healthcare and education, that really inspires me. And that makes me want to vote for a better America.”

Cumming is one of several performers to endorse Sanders, including Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito, Spike Lee, Mark Ruffalo and Neil Young, among others.
