Sanders: We Are Going To Win New York
Democratic candidate for President Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton will face off soon in the New York primary. The state is a kind of “home state” for them both. Sanders was born in Brooklyn and Clinton served as Senator for the state.
Yet, the Vermont Senator is optimistic about his chances against the former Secretary of State. “We are going to win New York,” he said during an appearance on CBS This Morning.
“We’re going to do rallies all over the state, and I think we have a good shot at this,” he said.
The Hill reports:
Clinton leads Sanders by 27 points in the Empire State, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
However, Sanders seems to be gaining ground quickly. A Thursday poll found him within 12 points of Clinton, 54 to 42 percent.
Reports emerged Friday that Clinton will pitch a $10 billion investment strategy in Syracuse, N.Y., aimed at revitalizing American manufacturing.
