Ringo Starr Cancels NC Show Over ‘Bathroom Law’
Ringo Starr, one of two living Beatles, has canceled an upcoming show in North Carolina over the new law that prevents local governments from passing anti-discrimination laws.

“I’m sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love,” he wrote in a statement.
The Hill reports:
The law requires transgender people to use bathrooms designated for the gender listed on their birth certificate.
“How sad that they feel that this group of people cannot be defended,” Starr added.
The law has sparked outrage across the country, with rock stars Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams announcing last week that they were also cancelling shows in the state over the law.
