Hamilton to Remain on $10 Bill: Report
According to sources, former President Alexander Hamilton will remain on the $10 bill.
The Hill reports:
Leaders of the movement to give women the right to vote will appear on the back of the bill, the report said.
Former President Andrew Jackson, now on the $20 bill, will be replaced with Harriet Tubman.
The $5 bill will be changed to show civil rights leaders, too.
Lew had previously announced he was considering replacing Hamilton on the $10 bill, an announcement that prompted loud backlash.
“There are number of options of how we can resolve this,” Lew told Politico last July. “We’re not taking Alexander Hamilton off our currency.”
