Clinton Rejects Theoretical Endorsement From Charles Koch

Hillary Clinton was quick to reject a pseudo-endorsement from Charles Koch on Sunday.

The Hill reports:

Koch said on ABC’s “This Week” that he thinks it’s possible a Hillary Clinton presidency would be better than putting a Republican back in the White House.

“It’s possible. It’s possible,” Koch said in an interview.

“We would have to believe her actions would be quite different from her rhetoric, let me put it that way,” he said when asked if he could ever see himself supporting the Democratic front-runner’s campaign for president.

He also said in some ways, Bill Clinton was a better president than George W. Bush.

“In some ways. In other ways, I mean he wasn’t an exemplar. But as far as the growth of government, the increase in spending, it was 2.5 times under Bush than it was under Clinton,” Koch said.

During the interview, Koch also slammed Republican front-runner Donald Trump’s policies. He said he has been asked to support the “Never Trump” movement but plans to focus on improving the country instead.

“What we’re trying to do is build alliances to make the country better. Like we have one with the White House on criminal justice reform. You do it by trying to find areas where you can work with everybody,” he said.
