Biden ‘Confident’ Clinton Will Be next President

Vice President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he believes Hillary Clinton will be the next president.

“I feel confident that Hillary will be the nominee and I feel confident that she’ll be the next president,” Biden told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

The Hill reports:

The entire Biden interview will air Wednesday morning on “Good Morning America.”

Biden has not made an endorsement in the Democratic presidential race, nor has been willing to disclose who he voted for in Delaware’s primary last month.

Last month, the vice president praised Clinton’s opponent, Bernie Sanders, for bringing bold ideas to the campaign trail.

“I like the idea of saying, ‘We can do much more,’ because we can,” Biden said in an interview with The New York Times.

“I don’t think any Democrat’s ever won saying, ‘We can’t think that big — we ought to really downsize here because it’s not realistic,’ ” he said. “C’mon man, this is the Democratic Party! I’m not part of the party that says, ‘Well, we can’t do it.’”

Clinton is currently leading Sanders in pledged delegates, 1,705 to 1,415. Her lead grows when superdelegates are included, outpacing Sanders, 2,228 to 1,454.
