Clinton and Sanders Reminisce over Drinks on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders had a chat over drinks on the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Sanders, played by Larry David, says as a bartender announces closing time. “I can stay here as long as I want.
“It’s not over until I say it’s over.
“I’ll have a beer, a new brand that people are flocking to,” Sanders says as he joins Hillary Clinton, played by Kate McKinnon, at the bar. “Something refreshing and revolutionary. Something that draws huuuge crowds.”
“And I’ll have whatever beer no one likes but gets the job done,” Clinton responds.
The Hill reports:
Clinton then jokes that Sanders will have a “special” role in her administration — “the senator from Vermont.”
Clinton and Sanders then reflect on the past year.
“Remember when I told everyone to stop talking about your damn emails?” David’s Sanders asks. “What a schmuck!”
“That could’ve taken me down!” McKinnon’s Clinton responds, laughing.
The segment, which you can watch in the video player above, ends with a dance-off between the two “mortal enemies.”
