Clinton, Sanders Lead Trump in Michigan
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are both leading Donald Trump in Michigan.
The Hill reports:
Clinton leads Trump, 43 to 38.5 percent, in the Glengariff Group poll released Wednesday to The Detroit News and a local TV station. Another 11.8 percent of Michigan voters surveyed were undecided.
Clinton’s lead is narrowed slightly when Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson is added to the polling in Michigan. Clinton takes 36.8 percent to Trump’s 32.7 percent and Johnson’s 11.5 percent.
Trump also trails Clinton’s Democratic challenger, Bernie Sanders, by an even larger margin. In a Sanders-Trump matchup, the Vermont senator leads the businessman, 51.7 to 33 percent.
The survey of 600 likely voters was conducted via telephone May 24–26 with a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
Michigan has gone for the Democratic candidate in the past six presidential elections.
