New Hillary Ad Mocks Trump With a Maniacally-Upbeat Trump University Promo

A new ad from the Hillary Clinton campaign mocks Trump University with an energetic and positive-sounding video, that focuses on it being a “scam.”

Using clips from MSNBC and other news outlets covering the Trump University lawsuit and the released documents showing the company’s sales “playbook,” the ad takes shot-after-shot at the presumptive GOP nominee.

The ad also references reports that suggest Donald Trump may not actually be a billionaire. Billionaire Mark Cuban has said as much in the past.

From the Hill:

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says Donald Trump may be a billionaire but isn’t as wealthy as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee claims.

If Trump is a billionaire, it’s “because the price of New York real estate has just skyrocketed over the last five years,” Cuban said on CNN’s “New Day.”

“Assuming he hasn’t had to keep on borrowing because he’s had liquidity issues, then yeah, I would give him credit for being a billionaire, but is he worth $10 billion? No,” Cuban said.

Cuban questioned Trump’s claim that he’s a billionaire and released a video last week mocking the businessman with a lip dub of the pop song “Billionaire” by Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars.

Forbes estimates that Cuban’s net worth is $3.2 billion, while Trump’s is $4.5 billion as of September 2015.

Cuban on Monday also dismissed Trump’s reason for not releasing his tax returns. Trump has cited an Internal Revenue Service audit.

“That’s nonsense, right? There’s nothing to preclude you from showing your taxes. You own them; that’s your property,” Cuban said.

Trump has also suggested that he may have been audited because of his Christian beliefs.

Cuban similarly laughed off that idea.

“I get audited every year because I have a lot of money and presumably so does he,” said Cuban. He said he spends 45 minutes signing around 50 stacks of paper when his own taxes are prepared each year.
