Clinton Gets in on Pokemon Go Craze
Pokemon Go is taking the world by storm, so much so, that even Hillary Clinton got in on the craze on Thursday.
“I don’t know who created Pokemon Go, but I’m trying to figure out how to get them to have ‘Pokemon Go to the Polls,’ ” Clinton said.
The Hill reports:
And her campaign website is advertising an event Saturday at a Pokestop in Lakewood, Ohio — a suburb of Cleveland, which will host the Republican National Convention next week.
“Join us as we go to the Pokestop in Madison Park and put up a lure module, get free Pokemon, & battle each other while you register voters and learn more about Sec. Hillary Clinton!!!” the campaign website says.
The Pokemon Go app uses the camera and GPS system on players’ smartphones to allow players to catch Pokemon at locations throughout the real world.
The game has become so popular that places such as the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., is telling visitors to stop playing there.
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump said Thursday he wishes he had time to play the game.
