Megyn Kelly Said Ailes Sexually Harassed Her: Report
A new report has revealed that Megyn Kelly has spoken out against Fox CEO Roger Ailes, saying that he sexually harassed her as well.
The Hill reports:
The revelation comes as Ailes, Fox News’s chairman and CEO, faces a lawsuit from former host Gretchen Carlson that accuses him of sexual harassment.
Sherman cited “two sources briefed on parent company 21st Century Fox’s outside probe of the Fox News executive.”
That internal investigation is being conducted by New York law firm Paul, Weis on the heels of Carlson’s suit. Ailes, 76, has flatly has denied the charges.
The alleged unwanted sexual advances occurred 10 years ago while Kelly was serving as a legal correspondent in Fox News’s Washington bureau, according to Sherman’s report. Kelly has since been promoted several times and now hosts “The Kelly File,” which launched in 2013.
On Monday, Sherman reported that Ailes would be ousted from the network by way of termination or forced resignation soon.
Many female Fox News anchors, hosts and pundits have come forward in support of Ailes in recent weeks after Carlson brought her suit July 6. But Kelly has not made any public statements on the matter.
The Hill has reached out to Fox News and 21st Century Fox for comment.
