Sanders’s Brother Casts Emotional Vote at Convention
Bernie Sanders brother, Larry Sanders, praised his brother on Tuesday night as he cast an emotional vote.
“I want to bring before the convention the names of our parents, Eli Sanders and Dorothy Glassberg Sanders. They did not have easy lives, and they died young. They would be immensely proud of their son and his accomplishments. They loved him,” Larry Sanders said, speaking as part of the Americans abroad delegation at the convention.
“They loved the New Deal of Roosevelt and would be especially proud that Bernard is renewing that vision.”
“It is with enormous pride that I cast my vote for Bernie Sanders,” Larry Sanders concluded. Bernie Sanders and wife Jane Sanders could be seen tearing up in the crowd.
