Erick Erickson, a conservative writer, tore into Ann Coulter on Thursday after she criticized a war hero.
You know what this convention really needed? An angry Muslim with a thick accent like Fareed Zacaria.

What a terrible thing to say about a man whose son died for this country. https://t.co/h9Zp4x3j6v

The Hill reports:
Coulter received backlash on Twitter from others who panned her tweet, which came as Khizr Khan, the father of a Muslim U.S. soldier who died in combat in Iraq and was later awarded a Purple Heart, gave an impassioned speech rebuking Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for his proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the U.S.
“Donald Trump consistently smears the character of Muslims,” Khan said. “He disrespects minorities and women, judges, even his own party leadership. He vows to build walls and ban us from this country.”
“Donald Trump, you’re asking us to trust you with our future. Let me ask you: Have you even read the United States Constitution?” Khan asked, pulling a pocket-size Constitution out of his jacket pocket.
