Clinton Leads Trump by 17 Points in NH
Hillary Clinton crushed Donald Trump in the latest New Hampshire poll by WBUR.
The Hill reports:
In a four-way matchup including Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, the Democratic nominee’s lead shrinks to 15 points, 47 to 32 percent.
Clinton’s lead has widened significantly since a poll three months ago that showed she and Trump were virtually tied in the state.
According to the recent poll, 86 percent of Democrats and 14 percent of Republicans are supporting Clinton. Only 63 percent of Republicans and 4 percent of Democrats favor the GOP nominee. The state’s undeclared voters also favor Clinton over Trump, 49 to 23 percent.
The poll also found that 48 percent of likely voters say Clinton is fit to be president, and 46 percent say she is not. Less than one-third of voters say Trump is qualified to be president, and more than 60 percent say he is not.
Trump is viewed favorably by just 29 percent of New Hampshire voters and is viewed unfavorably by 60 percent. Clinton is viewed favorably by 45 percent of voters and unfavorably by the same percentage.
The New Hampshire poll of 609 likely New Hampshire voters, conducted from July 29 to August 1, has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Clinton has just a 3.7-point lead over the GOP nominee in New Hampshire. Clinton is favored by 43 percent of voters and Trump by 39.3 percent.
