Sanders Scoffs at Trump’s Trade Policies

Sanders not impressed with Trump’s understanding on global finance.

The Hill Reports:

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) says Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump embodies the worst of global finance.

In a Twitter rant on Friday, the former Democratic White House candidate ripped into Trump, calling him “the poster child of failed trade policies.”

Trump began the week on Monday with a speech in Detroit where he sought to lay out his economic agenda, but Sanders, a Democratic socialist, says the New York real estate mogul should not be asked how to stabilize U.S. markets.

Trump on Thursday repeated his attacks against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for supporting the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

“[NAFTA’s] a total unmitigated disaster,” he told the National Association of Home Builders in Miami.

“Has anyone seen what’s going on in Mexico?” the billionaire asked. “They’re taking our businesses, they’re taking our plants.”
