Clinton Ad: Trump Too Dangerous to Be President
Hillary Clinton’s latest attack ad focused on Donald Trump and suggested that it was too dangerous to let him become president.
The Hill reports:
The video contrasts commander in chief attributes like “steady leadership,” “clear thinking” and “calm judgement” with Trump’s combative rhetoric on the campaign trail.
“Knock the crap out of them,” Trump says in one clip included in the ad, when Trump was referencing potential disruptive protesters at one of his events.
“I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me,” Trump boasts in another clip included in the ad, referring to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
It also includes bleeped-out audio of Trump using expletives when saying companies wishing to return to the U.S. after relocating business to Mexico can “go f— themselves” and saying he would “bomb the shit” out of ISIS.
“All it takes is one wrong move,” Clinton’s ad finishes, with the searing sound of fighter jets zipping overhead.
The ad will start airing this week as part of the campaign’s national cable ad buy, according to the Clinton campaign, which said in a release accompanying the ad that Trump’s own comments show he’s “too dangerous to be commander-in-chief.”
Clinton’s campaign has regularly relied on Trump’s own remarks in campaign ads and videos portraying the businessman as unfit to serve as commander in chief.
The campaign released a video on Saturday contrasting Trump’s past comments saying “I don’t regret anything” with his general offer of regret during a speech last week.
