The Hill reports:
“Back in October, the National Enquirer said I’d be dead in six months. So with every breath I take, I feel like it’s a new lease on life,” Clinton joked. “I do feel sometimes like this campaign has entered into an alternative universe.”
Donald Trump has long claimed that Clinton lacks the physical stamina to be president, but the Republican presidential nominee and his campaign have not directly engaged with the conspiracy theories circulated on ultra-right-wing blogs and talk shows that Clinton’s health is rapidly deteriorating.
However, speaking on MSNBC last week, top Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson alleged that Clinton has a disorder called dysphasia, a condition brought on by brain trauma that erodes a person’s ability to speak or comprehend language.
There is no evidence to back those claims up, and Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, has repeatedly stated that the former secretary of State is fit to serve.
“I don’t know why they are saying this,” Clinton told Kimmel on Monday, according to NBC News. “I think, on the one hand, it’s part of the wacky strategy. On the other hand, it absolutely makes no sense.”
Kimmel dared the former secretary of State to open a jar of pickles to demonstrate her strength, which she did, pretending it was a great effort.
