Poll: Clinton up 16 over Trump in Virginia
According to the latest poll by Roanoke College, Hillary Clinton is up 16 points on Donald Trump.
The Hill reports:
Clinton has 48 percent support to Trump’s 32 percent among likely voters in the state, the Roanoke College survey found.
Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has 8 percent, and Green Party nominee Jill Stein got 3 percent.
In a head-to-head matchup, Clinton’s lead over Trump grows to 19 points.
The poll also showed improved favorability ratings for Clinton in Virginia. Thirty-nine percent said they saw the Democratic nominee favorably, while 45 percent saw her unfavorably.
In a May edition of the same poll, she had 35 percent favorability and 50 percent unfavorability.
Trump has gone the other way. His 23 percent favorability is the same as it was in May, but the real estate mogul’s 63 percent unfavorability is up from May, when he had 56 percent unfavorable.
Roanoke College poll was of 803 likely voters in Virginia via cell and landline telephone interviews from Aug. 7-17. It has a 3.5 percent margin of error.
