Trump Appears at Mexican Press Conference Without US Flag
Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump gave a press conference in Mexico without an American flag behind him.
The Hill reports:
During a joint press conference with the Mexican president on Wednesday, Donald Trump spoke on a stage that featured a Mexican flag but not an American one.
The trip, in which Trump was not an official representative of the U.S. government, was hastily arranged. The Republican presidential nominee reportedly did not commit to visiting Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto until late Tuesday night.
The visit was a significant risk for Trump, who has made a hard-line immigration policy one of the centerpieces of his campaign. Trump is set to give a major speech on that policy later Wednesday evening.
