Jill Stein Delays Rally After Landing in Wrong Ohio City
The Green Party’s Jill Stein had to postpone a rally in Ohio on Friday after she accidentally landed in the wrong city.
The Hill reports:
The presidential long shot accidentally flew to Cincinnati instead of Columbus, where she had been scheduled to speak at Capital University. The school’s branch of the Green Party confirmed the mixup to The Columbus Dispatch.
The school group told the paper she’d be about two hours late — the drive between the two cities is just under two hours.
Stein sits far below the 15 percent polling threshold to make it to the general election debate stage later this month. She hasn’t hit higher than 6 percent in a major national poll since June.
A serious lack of resources when compared to major party nominees has left her struggling for media coverage — she recently bashed the media for its coverage of her recent tweet about the gorilla Harambe killed at a Cincinnati zoo earlier this year by questioning why it got more traction than her vision for the country.
Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has also been trying to strengthen his polling numbers in order to qualify to debate with Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.
