Carson Wants to See Specialized MRI from Clinton

Ben Carson said on Monday that he would like to see Hillary Clinton’s specialized MRI.

“In the case of Hillary Clinton, because she has had a brain injury in the past and there is a question of venous sinus thrombosis, the result of a recent specialized MRI would be very helpful,” Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, said.

“The stakes are too high for us to blindly elect someone to the presidency of the United States when we have the possibility of examining real evidence upon which to make a decision.”

The Hill reports:

Clinton left a 9/11 memorial on Sunday early because she became dehydrated and overheated, her campaign said.

A video surfaced Sunday that appeared to show the Democratic nominee stumbling to a black van with the help of aides when she was departing from the event.

She later returned to her home in Chappaqua, N.Y., and her doctor released a statement saying the Democratic nominee had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. She subsequently canceled her California trip beginning Monday.

Carson appeared to suggest that there could be more going on with Clinton’s health than her campaign has shared.

“The fact that the security detail assisting her as she clumsily attempted to enter her vehicle after abruptly ending her participation at a 9/11 event did not appear surprised as if dealing with something new, makes one wonder if such awkward moments are something they have become accustomed to,” he said.

Carson also took a shot at the Democratic nominee’s character, saying Clinton’s biggest health problem is “the disease of dishonesty.”

“People in America tend to be understanding of natural diseases and are sympathetic,” he said.

“But adding more fuel to the fire of suspicion about her honesty by hiding a diagnosis of pneumonia and possibly other things may be a mistake from which there is no recovery.”
