Trump: CNN Panelists ‘Mostly Losers in Life’
Donald Trump responded to accusations by CNN panelists that he “played” them during Friday’s rally, calling them “losers.”
The Hill reports:
Donald Trump on Saturday breathed new life into his long-running attacks on CNN, calling the network’s panelists “losers in life.”
“[email protected] just doesn’t get it, and that’s why their ratings are so low – and getting worse. Boring anti-Trump panelists, mostly losers in life!” Trump tweeted.

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 17, 2016It was not immediately clear the cause of Trump’s reaction Saturday. However, top CNN anchors excoriated the GOP presidential nominee a day earlier for his campaign event in Washington.
Trump had promised a “big announcement” about his views on President Obama’s birthplace, leading news networks to cover his event in full. Trump opened the event touting his new hotel, and had a series of military figures speak onstage offering praise for him.
Nearly a half-hour into the event, Trump delivered a terse four-sentence statement acknowledging that Obama was born in the U.S. and attempting to blame Hillary Clinton for the “birther” conspiracy.
CNN personalities and other top journalists tore into Trump afterward, accusing him of tricking them into granting him free publicity.
“We got played, again, by the Trump campaign, which is what they do,” said CNN’s John King moments after Trump concluded his event. “He got a live event broadcast for some 20 minutes.”
CNN’s Jake Tapper said that the public got “Rickrolled” by Trump, while CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger characterized Trump’s event as a “breathtaking act of political expediency.”
