No Fortune 100 CEOs Back Trump
No CEOs from Fortune 100 companies have donated to, or endorsed, Donald Trump. By contrast, a third of them contributed to Mitt Romney in 2012 and a fifth donated to other Republican primary candidates earlier this year.
The Hill reports:
Not a single CEO at the country’s 100 largest firms has donated to Donald Trump’s campaign, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The lack of financial support from the country’s top executives is a stark contrast from 2012, when nearly a third of Fortune 100 CEOs contributed to 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
The Journal found that 19 of the country’s top CEOs donated to other Republican primary candidates this presidential cycle.
Eleven have backed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Clinton’s Fortune 100 CEO supporters, including Apple’s Tim Cook and American Airlines’ Doug Parker, have given her a total of more than $30,000.
