Tom Hanks on Trump Tape: ‘I Was Offended as a Man’

Actor Tom Hanks spoke out against Donald Trump and the recently leaked tape from 2005, saying that it offended him as a man.

“Look, I’m offended as a man,” Hanks told the Press Association in an interview published Wednesday. “I’m not offended as a husband or a father. I’m offended as a guy. That’s just not right. It’s wrong. Period. The end. That’s all.”

The Hill reports:

Hanks also disagreed with Trump’s defense that men sometimes speak crudely in the “locker room.”

“Oh dear, oh no,” he said. “He was at work, man. He wasn’t in a locker room. He was at work. He was showing up to do a thing on camera.”

“I’m sorry,” Hanks added of the GOP presidential nominee. “It’s not right at work. It’s not right in the locker room.”

Hanks added voters must consider political experience before picking between Trump and Hillary Clinton on Election Day.

“You’ve always got to vote for what the future is,” said Hanks, who backs the Democratic presidential nominee. “If you care about it, that’s what you have to do.

Trump is under fire for footage uncovered last week of a conversation between himself and former “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush.

The recording captures Trump discussing his failed sexual advances on a married woman and groping women’s genitalia without consent.
