Warren Attacks ‘Selfish Little Sleaze Ball’ Trump

Sen. Elizabeth Warren tore into Donald Trump on Sunday.

The Hill reports:

In a passionate speech at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria Campus in Denver, Warren warmed up the crowd with a rant against Donald Trump, the GOP presidential nominee.

She called him a “selfish little sleaze ball,” a “pathetic cheapskate,” and a “small, insecure money grubber” — and at one point she clucked like a chicken, after saying he didn’t have the courage to release his tax returns.

“Donald Trump is a two-bit con man who just may be the worst businessman in the United States,” she said at one point.

She also hit at the GOP nominee for the lewd comments he made in 2005 about grabbing women without their consent and his attacks on the multiple women who have come forward in the past week to accuse him of past sexual misconduct — allegations Trump and his campaign have strongly and repeatedly denied.

“Donald Trump’s words. They don’t make me sick anymore; they make me furious,” Warren said.

Warren has been a frequent attack dog for Clinton’s campaign, going after the GOP nominee on everything from taxes and education policy to the wall he’s pledged to build on the U.S.-Mexican border, which she touched on Sunday night.

“We will never build a stupid wall between here and Mexico,” she said to cheers, before encouraging those gathered to vote and volunteer.

Warren was followed at the rally by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who endorsed Clinton this summer after a long and bruising primary battle.

“We’re going to beat Trump, and we’re going to beat him badly, and we’re going to elect Hillary Clinton,” he promised to those gathered.

He also promised that Democrats will “bring millions of people together to create a political revolution and to create a government … that works for all of us, not just the 1 percent.”

Sanders warned that the nation could turn into an oligarchy, where a handful of the wealthy control the government, saying “a handful of billionaires are attempting to buy the United States government.”
