Clinton’s Debate Wardrobe Theme: Red, White and Blue
Hillary Clinton selected her debate outfits to perfectly match the American flag.
The Hill reports:
Hillary Clinton carried a patriotic theme through the three presidential debates by wearing red, blue and then white in each of the matchups.
The pattern of Clinton’s wardrobe choices — capped off by a white pantsuit at Wednesday night’s debate — becomes obvious upon examining photos from her debates with Republican Donald Trump.
She wrote a red pantsuit for the first meeting, at Hofstra University in New York; then blue on white for the second, at Washington University in St. Louis.
The Democratic nominee walked onstage for their third and final debate on Wednesday night in an all-white pantsuit to complete the America-focused trifecta of outfits.
Clinton reprised the white pantsuit she wore during the Democratic National Convention at the end of July.
At the time, her wardrobe choice was closely analyzed by the media and social media and was ultimately deemed to be a tribute to the suffragist movement as Clinton became the first woman to ever win a major party’s presidential nomination.
But a look even further back shows that Clinton has carefully thought out her clothing choices. When she joined Instagram, she posted a photo of a clothing rack reflecting her affinity for the red, white and blue.
