Trump Tops Twitter During Third Debate
Donald Trump is a more popular conversation piece on Twitter than Hillary Clinton.
The Hill reports:
Donald Trump is dominating the conversation on Twitter Wednesday night during the final 2016 presidential debate, in Las Vegas.
The GOP presidential nominee was the subject of 59 percent of the social media discussion on the platform, including both positive and negative mentions.
Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton accounted for the other 41 percent of the conversation, according to data obtained by Twitter.
However, Clinton gained 12,000 new Twitter followers, while Trump gained just 6,000.
The most-tweeted moment happened when Clinton and Trump discussed the treatment of women, followed by Trump refusing to say he will accept the election results. The third most-tweeted moment happened when Clinton called Trump the “puppet” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
