Hannity Offers to Fly Obama to Kenya
Fox News host Sean Hannity said on Tuesday that he would fly President Barack Obama and his family back to Kenya, on one condition, that can never return to the United States.
The Hill reports:
Hannity specifically suggested Obama go to Kenya, referencing the false conspiracy theory that Obama was born there.
“I have an offer for the president. I will charter a plane for you and your family,” Hannity said on his daily radio show.
“I will charter it to the country of your choice. You want to go to Canada? I’ll pay for you to go to Canada. You want to go to Kenya? I’ll pay for you to go to Kenya. Jakarta [in Indonesia], where you went to school back in the day, you can go back there.
“I have one stipulation: You can’t come back.”
The so-called birther issue was reignited on the campaign trail this year when Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump refused to acknowledge that Obama was born in the U.S.
He eventually publicly retreated from the theory but argued that questions about Obama’s citizenship were originally stirred by Hillary Clinton, his 2016 Democratic rival, during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.
