Lady Gaga Calls out Melania Trump for ‘Hypocrisy’
Lady Gaga called out Melania Trump for Donald Trump’s notoriously controversial comments, calling Melania a “hypocrite.”
The Hill reports:
Lady Gaga on Sunday slammed Melania Trump, after she said during a speech last week that combating cyberbullying would be a cornerstone of her work if she becomes first lady.
“[email protected] to say u will stand for ‘anti-bullying’ is hypocrisy,” Lady Gaga, who supports Hillary Clinton, tweeted Sunday.
“Your husband is 1 of the most notorious bullies we have ever witnessed.”
Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson responded to the singer soon after, using lyrics to one of Lady Gaga’s own songs.
“#JustDance it’ll be OK,” Pierson tweeted in response.
“After Tuesday, you’ll call her #FLOTUS.”
Melania Trump during a speech last week said American culture has become “too mean and too rough.” As first lady, she said she would be an “advocate for women and for children.”
“I do worry about all of our children. As we know, now social media is the centerpiece of our lives,” she said.
“It can be a useful tool for connection and communication,” Trump continued. “But like anything that is powerful, it can have a bad side. We have seen this already.”
Her husband, GOP nominee Donald Trump is known to frequently insult both political and personal rivals using Twitter.
