Sanders Had Skin Cancer Removed From Cheek
Bernie Sanders had preventative minor surgery to remove some cancer from his face.
The Hill reports:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) had a small basal cell carcinoma, a common type of skin cancer, removed from his cheek on Thursday, according to a statement first reported by The Associated Press.
Sanders’s office said the hourlong outpatient procedure was done on Thursday and that the senator returned to work afterward and later traveled back to Vermont, according to the statement from Sanders’s office.
On Wednesday evening, the former Democratic presidential candidate stumped for Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) for DNC chair at the American Federation of Teachers headquarters in Washington, D.C.
