‘I Will Punish All of You’: Student Fatally Shot 7 People on UC Campus Because Girls Rejected Him
Police say a UC Santa Barbara student who fatally shot six people, wounded seven, and turned the gun on himself planned the mass murder because he was rejected by girls at the school.
On Friday, 22-year-old Elliot Rodger drove a black BMW near the Santa Barbara campus and fatally shot six people and wounded at least seven others. Police say Rodger than exchanged gunfire with police, drove off, and crashed into a parked car before killing himself.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said “we have obtained and are currently analyzing both written and videotaped evidence that suggests this atrocity was a premeditated mass murder.”
Police reportedly found a video called “Elliot Rodger’s Retribution.”
They also found rants on his Facebook profile, complaining about his “loneliness, rejection, and unfulfilled desires,” saying women prefer “obnoxious brutes” over him, a “supreme gentleman.”
In the video, Rodger reportedly says “I’m 22 years old and I’m still a virgin. I’ve never even kissed a girl. College is the time when everyone experiences those things such as sex and fun and pleasure. But in those years I’ve had to rot in loneliness. It’s not fair. You girls have never been attracted to me. I don’t know why you girls aren’t attracted to me. But I will punish you all for it.”
He adds “I’m going to enter the hottest sorority house of UCSB and I will slaughter every single spoilt, stuck-up, blonde slut that I see inside there. All those girls that I’ve desired so much, they would’ve all rejected me and looked down on me as an inferior man if I ever made a sexual advance toward them.”
