Lewis Black Slams Rush Limbaugh: ‘F*** You’ For Making Light of Robin Williams’ Death
Comedian and Daily Show contributor Lewis Black took to Facebook to slam radio host Rush Limbaugh for his remarks about Robin Williams’ death.
“F*CK YOU Rush Limbaugh,” Black wrote. “Your statements were beyond cruel and stupid. They were intolerable. Enough is enough from you. You are an idiot. Don’t you ever demean the death of another human being. He was my friend. You disgust me.”
Earlier in the week, Limbaugh had said, “Robin Williams felt guilty that he was still alive while his three friends had died young and much earlier than he did,” referring to Williams’ friends John Belushi, Andy Kaufman, and Christopher Reeve.
“He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn’t,” Limbaugh asserted. “Well, that is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country.”
In an op-ed for Time Magazine, Black paid tribute to Williams’ death and his time spent performing for the military on USO tours.
“It’s proof again that the good die young, and pricks live forever,” Black wrote. “He’s gonna be missed. There’s a hole, and it’s gonna take a long time to be filled.”
Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda has also replied to the haters, writing, “As for those who are sending negativity, know that some small, giggling part of him is sending a flock of pigeons to your house to poop on your car. Right after you’ve had it washed. After all, he loved to laugh too.”
