‘I Will F***ing Kill You’: Ferguson Cop Points Rifle at Peaceful Protester, Gets Suspended
A Missouri police officer has been suspended after he was recorded on a cell phone camera pointing an assault rifle at a peaceful protester and threatening to shoot.
The officer, brought in to “keep the peace” in Ferguson, was caught on two separate videos pointing a rifle at protestors and yelling, “I will f*cking kill you.”
The incident reportedly happened on Tuesday night.
In the video, a man is heard saying, “Oh my God! Gun raised!”
The officer approaches and the man is heard yelling, “My hands are up, bro! My hands are up!”
The officer walks over, points the rifle at him, and says “I will f*cking kill you.”
Another protester asks the officer to identify himself, to which he responds, “Go f*ck yourself.”
In another video, the multiple protesters are yelling at the cop to lower his weapon.
A St. Louis County police sergeant noticed the commotion, walked over, told the cop to lower his weapon, and escorted him away from the area.
The unidentified officer from the St. Ann Police Department was officially suspended indefinitely on Wednesday.
The St. Louis County Police Department has released a statement, saying the incident was preceded by a verbal confrontation.
“It was at this time a St. Louis County Police Sergeant walked over and immediately took action, forcing the officer to lower the weapon, and escorting him away from the area,” the statement said. “The unified command strongly feel these actions are inappropriate, and not indicative of the officers who have worked daily to keep the peace.”
