Duck Dynasty Star Urges Christians to Convert Atheist Friends With Nicolas Cage Movie
Willie Robertson, one of the stars of the TV show ‘Duck Dynasty,’ is urging Christians to try to convert their non-believing friends by taking them to see Nicolas Cage’s upcoming film ‘Left Behind.’
Robertson posted a video on his Facebook page to promote ‘Left Behind,’ an upcoming film based on a 16-book series of the same name that deals with the “End Times.”
“Like most Christians, my family and I can truly say that we’re excited about the soon return of Jesus, and I’m sure, if you’ve been watching the news lately, you know that that return could be any day from now,” Robertson said.
The film, which he describes as “an action-packed thriller that will take viewers on a wild ride to the day of the Rapture,” would also serve as a warning to non-believers and could be the one thing that converts them.
“It’s a warning to those, if it happened today, would be left behind, and I believe people are going to make that life-changing decision to follow Christ on the way home from the theater on Oct. 3,” Robertson said. “Let’s all make sure we bring some friends and family to see this movie – people need to see to believe.”
The film, starring Nick Cage and Chad Michael Murray, is billed as a story about, “A small group of survivors [who] are left behind after millions of people suddenly vanish and the world is plunged into chaos and destruction.”
