Kirk Cameron to Moms: Save Christmas by Getting Back in the Kitchen
Actor Kirk Cameron, who is currently pushing his new movie ‘Saving Christmas,’ has posted a video calling on moms to get back in the kitchen to save Christmas.
“If you are a mom, if you are a wife, if you’re the keeper of your home, I want you to know that your joy is so important this Christmas,” Cameron said. “Because Christmas is about joy, and if the joy of the Lord is your strength, remember, the joy of the mom is her children’s strength, so don’t let anything steal your joy. If you let your joy get stolen, it will sap your strength.”
“Let your children, your family, see your joy in the way you decorate your home this Christmas, in the food that you cook, the songs you sing, the stories you tell, and the traditions you keep,” Cameron continued. “Invite the whole neighborhood into your Christmas and invite the world into our story of our king and his kingdom.”
Saving Christmas, which is rated 2.9 out of 10 on IMDB at the time of this writing, is out in select theaters this weekend.
“Kirk is enjoying the annual Christmas party extravaganza thrown by his sister until he realizes he needs to help out Christian, his brother-in-law who has a bad case of the bah-humbugs,” the film’s synopsis says. “Kirk’s fresh look at Christmas provides Christian the chance to see Christ is where He has always been: at the center of our Christmas celebrations and traditions.”
Sounds like a winner.
