Glenn Beck: The AP ‘Raped Bill Cosby’ By Asking Him About Rape Allegations
On Wednesday, the Associated Press released an interview with Bill Cosby in which the comedian refused to discuss the many sexual assault allegations brought against him in the last two weeks and asked the reporter to cut any footage of him refusing to comment on those allegations.
On Thursday, Beck slammed the Associated Press, saying, “journalism is the most dishonorable, dishonest, callous, cynical, mean, stupid, stupid people and industry I have ever seen,” and claimed that Cosby’s reputation is being ruined by the press, not the fact that he is accused of sexually assaulting at least five women.
Ironically, as Right Wing Watch points out, Beck is currently being sued for repeatedly accusing one of the Boston Marathon victims of being a member of Al Qaeda who is responsible for the bombing.
Even though Cosby never asked to avoid the topic before it was brought up during the interview, Beck claimed that by releasing footage of Cosby refusing to comment, “you’ve just raped Bill Cosby.”
“You want to talk about rape?” Beck asked. “That’s media rape right there. You said you would not do that. Since when does your ‘no’ mean ‘yes’? Do you know the definition of ‘no’ sir? You’ve just raped Bill Cosby. You said you wouldn’t do it. You just did it and then you blamed it on him. My gosh, maybe we should have a lesson on rape.”
Yeah, maybe we should, then you wouldn’t play it so fast and loose with the term “rape.”
