There’s a ‘War’ on Police! Twitter Conservatives Complain About ‘Racist’ Indictments of Baltimore Cops

Conservatives on Twitter raged after Maryland State Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that six Baltimore police officers would be charged with manslaughter in the death of Freddie Gray.

Fox News pundit Todd Starnes was among the first to play the victim card, claiming that “The Maryland state’s attorney has declared war on law enforcement.”

Though users like Gabe Ortiz were quick to explain that, “Marilyn Mosby’s father, mother, and grandfather were police officers, you dolt,” it didn’t stop the barrage of Tweets complaining that Mosby’s intentions are inherently racist, or something.

During her campaign, Mosby touted her family’s long involvement in law enforcement.

In an interview, Mosby said, “My grandfather, my uncles, my mother, my father — I have five generations of police officers. I know that the majority of police officers are really hard-working officers who are risking their lives day in and day out, but those really bad ones who go rogue do a disservice to the officers who are risking their lives and taking time away from their families.”
