Woman Gets 3+ Years in Prison for Running Over Husband Because He Didn’t Vote for Mitt Romney
An Arizona woman has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison for running over her husband after learning he didn’t vote for Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election.
Nicole Solomon, 31, pleaded guilty to assault after saying she was angry that President Obama was re-elected and learning that her husband didn’t go to the polls to vote.
Ironically, Romney won Arizona by a good 10-point margin and Solomon clearly doesn’t get how the electoral college works.
Her husband spoke at her sentencing hearing, explaining, “It should have been a very simple argument that should have been easy to resolve. Instead, she became so enraged that she chased me around the parking lot with her Jeep and ran me over – nearly killing me.”
Her husband went on to explain that Solomon, who was then six months pregnant, thought that their family would face some sort of hardships if Obama was re-elected.
Her husband suffered a broken pelvis and other serious injuries and the couple eventually got divorced. So, in theory, they did face hardships as a result of Obama’s re-election.
