DMX vs. George Zimmerman: Boxing Match Between Trayvon Martin’s Shooter And Rapper Set For March
In what might be one of the most watched online events of the year, Trayvon Martin’s shooter George Zimmerman will square off in a boxing match against multi-platinum rapper DMX. The date and location of the fight have yet to be determined, but the fight will take place sometime in March. Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman confirmed that both men have signed contracts and are already training for the three-round fight. It’s unclear what the payments for the fight are, but other celebrity boxing contestants have reported earning between $10,000-25,000 per fight.
But this isn’t a gimmick for DMX. The rapper said he is out for blood and wants to humiliate Zimmerman in his boxing debut. “I am going to beat the living f*** out of him. I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f*** him right up,” he said. “Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d*** out and piss on him … right in his motherf***ing face. Zimmerman is a piece of s*** and that’s what he needs to drink.”
Prior to DMX signing on, other celebrities including rapper The Game and Michael Lohan also expressed interest, while Zimmerman indicated that his first choice was rapper Kanye West. Zimmerman said that he is open to future fights against other opponents, but money isn’t an issue for him now; he sold an original oil painting on eBay for over $100,000 last December.
Because of security issues, Feldman is hand-picking only 100 people to attend the fight, which will mainly consist of reporters. However, it will be available for viewing via paid online live stream
