Florida High School Suspends Teenager For Starring In Gay Porn

A high school senior who appeared in a gay porn film was suspended by his school and told he would not be allowed to graduate this year due to his adult film work. Robert Marucci, who goes by the stage name of “Noel,” was suspended from Cocoa High School for 10 days for “causing a campus disturbance,” which would lead to “an automatic failure from absences.”

A post on in Reddit’s “gaybros” forum said that while some students “severely bullied” him when word got out about his porn forays, other students planned to protest the suspension by making posters and skipping a class. However, the school principal allegedly threatened to expel any student who participated.

But after the story went viral and threats of a lawsuit began to brew, the school decided to lift the suspension and allow Marucci to return to school, which will enable him to graduate on time in May. They declined to cite the exact reason why he was suspended, citing privacy laws.

“No child would ever be suspended for a job that they have outside of the school environment,” said Michelle Irwin, a spokesperson for the district. “In this particular case, we had an investigation, which is now complete, and the student is welcomed to come back to talk to Dr. Sullivan about his educational options.”

But Marucci’s mother, Melyssa Lieb, said the principal “flat out told me that my son was expelled, not just suspended, he was expelled due to his explicit, adult, lifestyle career.” The student told Local 6 news that he did the porn “to help my mother out economically.”
