Craigslist Killer Miranda Barbour Murdered ‘Less Than 100’ Victims
Self-confessed teenage serial killer Miranda Barbour is now offering gruesome new details into both how many people she killed and the manner in which she did it. The 19-year-old is currently facing the death penalty for last November’s murder of Troy LaFerrara, but later told a Pennsylvania news outlet that she lost count after murdering at least 22 people in total. Barbour says she now murdered more than 22 people, but less than 100 in total.
Her husband, Elytte, is also facing the death penalty for the murder. Miranda and LaFerrara met through Craigslist, where she regularly offered “companionship” services that cost anywhere from $50-$850 per hour, but Elytte said he was fine with it. “She is not a prostitute,” he said. “What she does is meet men with broken marriages or have no one in their lives and she meets with them and has delightful conversation.”
But she is a murderer after admitting to stabbing LaFerrara over 20 times, although she claims that the intention was that her husband would just strangle him. Miranda also confessed to killings across the country and said she could “pinpoint them on a map,” stating her murder rampage began after joining a Satanic cult at age 13. She also claimed to have only murdered “bad people who didn’t deserve to be here.”
Miranda has a one-year-old son and the father of their child is currently deceased, which has raised questions over whether she killed him too. But while she doesn’t want the death penalty because she believes it’s “cruel and inhumane punishment,” Miranda said she believes she should spend the rest of her life in jail.
“I know I will never see my husband again and I have accepted that,” she said. “I know I had a 20-year window where I would possibly get out of jail and I don’t want that to happen. If I were to be released, I would do this again.”
